Discover an old-fashioned Christmas universe in the heart of Copenhagen’s ancient medieval city. Højbroplads is the heart of Copenhagen. It emerged after the fire of 1795 after demolishing the block between Store Færgestræde and Højbrostræde. In 1902, the square, which was used as a vegetable and flower market, saw the erection of Vilhelm Bissen’s equestrian statue of Bishop Absalon.
